An Open Standard for the Agentic Web
BMOS is an open standard, not a walled garden. While this directory currently highlights stores hosted on our centralized app, we are actively expanding discovery to support the entire decentralized web. Here is how we plan to support self-hosted and third-party merchants:
Decentralized Crawlers
We will continuously query Handshake resolvers to discover any .agent domain broadcasting a commerce_catalog TXT record, regardless of where the feed is hosted.
Public Ping Endpoint
A submission form and open API endpoint where self-hosted merchants can ping the directory to verify their TXT records and get added to the public list instantly.
Federated Lists
We will support merging JSON arrays of verified stores published by other directories, creating a truly decentralized and federated network of agentic commerce.
